As per government guidelines and FA updates grassroots footballs activities can start from today. Managers/coaches should already have been in touch regarding your return to training and matches.

The FA has permitted league extensions to the end of June and a number of leagues including the Peter Houseman Youth League, Oxford Youth League and East Berkshire Football Alliance are completing competitive fixtures. The Reading West Berkshire League as void all competitive matches and will be completing fixtures as friendlies only.

Please take note of the following key points per FA guidelines:

The will be a maximum of 1 parent or carer per player (per FA guidelines on spectators and safeguarding).
The self-assessment form must still be completed prior to training sessions and matches. If not completed the coach has the right to turn you away.
All teams should still be displaying the NHS Track & Trace QR code at training and home matches. Please make sure you scan in.
Please remind your child of expectations at training and matches with regards to Covid procedures and maintaining social distancing when not in direct play (pre/post match, half-time, coaching interludes etc)

Fingers crossed we get a good long run at the season end as we flow straight into next season.

It may feel early to start thinking about it but we have started planning for next season and some league registration forms are already open. Your managers and coaches will be gauging interest for the coming season. Please reply promptly to help us complete league registrations which will close before this season ends!
