Club Secretary role filled, still looking for a Treasurer

Hi All,

Following on from the AGM on 26th January I'm pleased to announce that we have a new Club Secretary. Pete Fisher will be taking on this role over the next couple of weeks.

Pete has been supporting the club not just as a coach for his U15's but as the Equipment coordinator and has recently helped start the U6 and U7 teams. Pete will do a fantastic job in carrying the club forward.

Unfortunately, we've had no volunteers for the Treasurer role. A discussion point at the AGM was whether this could be broken down into smaller roles. The role could be split in two as follows should anyone be interested in supporting the club.

Treasurer:

  • Yearly budget projections
  • Reviewing and setting membership fees
  • Tracking membership payments
  • Reviewing and payment of expenses and invoices
  • Producing yearly accounts for our FA affiliation and AGM
  • Pitchero and Google Suite admin

Player Registration Officer:

  • Updating Pitchero teams at season change
  • Creation of membership products and assigning to players
  • Updating payment documentation and helping parents with the payment process
  • Supporting Team managers with player registration in the FA Wholegame system

The Treasurer role typically takes 1/2 - 1 hour each week. The Player registration officer is involved around season changeover. The initial season admin takes 2-3 hours and ongoing support of about 1 hour a week until the season starts.

How can you help?

  • If you are interested in either of this roles (or could do both) please contact myself (treasurer@thatchamtownharriers.club) or Pete on (peterfisher77@gmail.com) (until he has access to the Club email address)
  • The role doesn't need to be filled by someone currently with the club. Please share with anyone you think may be interested in taking a volunteer role (for example at work).

I would like to thank Noreen, Martin and Matt for taking on the other open roles.

As I step down I would like to take the opportunity to thank Nigel Brock for his support during his tenure as Club Chair, Noreen Burke for her support in safeguarding and Ian Lawrie for his continued support once he'd stepped down as Club Secretary.
