Updated FA guidelines regarding Covid-19 sees all grassroots football activity postponed for the foreseeable future

Following the updated government advice earlier today The FA have now published further advice and all Grassroots football activity has been postponed for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, this means with immediate effect all Harriers training and matches are postponed. We will continue to follow the advice of the government and The FA and hope to be back to football as soon as possible.

One question that has already risen is regarding our subscriptions. I hope you can appreciate at this time without knowing how long we will be postponed for that we are not in the position to consider refunds. At this point of the season the majority of our membership income has already been paid out towards kit, equipment, training and match costs. If appropriate we will review this at the end of the season when it is clear the impact the postponement has had.

We're heading towards the end of season and will soon be entering into the Spring and summer six-a-side festival period. Hopefully, the current situation will not impact all of these. We hope to continue with the Harriers Festival but will cancel should the current advice not be lifted.

In the meantime, your managers and coaches will be kept up to date with the situation and will inform you when training and matches can start again.

Should you have any questions, they can be directed to clubsec@thatchamtownharriers.club. Stay safe and well and we look forward to having the boys and girls back on football pitches in the near future.

Kind Regards,
Thatcham Town Harriers Committee
